Makthaverskan - II 12" LP

On sophomore album “Makthaverskan II”, the band found the core of what would come to define their sound. With more focused songwriting and a refined sonic palette, “Makthaverskan II” was the album that brought Makthaverskan to a wider audience and took them on tours across both Europe and the US.

Pitchfork described the album as an “interior and personal record of constricted scope” filled with longing, anger, and a desire to escape the confines of everyday life. It’s an expression of youthful frustration channeled into universal emotions. Consequence wrote that Milner’s voice is a weapon against the softness of the reverb: “Her voice is a weapon. The reverb is a sheath”.
