Linn Koch-Emmery made her way on to the indierock skyline in 2016 after releasing her debut single ”Come Back”. A fuzzy track that quickly was picked up by DIY Magazine and described as ”rock that feels both euphoric and capable of destruction”. She signed with Gothenburg label Welfare Sounds and Records and her two follow up singles ”Forever Sounds” and ”Under The Sun” were released which picked up right where she left. With them, the Norrköping-born but Stockholm-based Linn showcased an ability to write speaker-breaking lo-fi indie with melodies so sharp that they bury their way into your head for weeks.
Her music has been featured on multiple blogs and magazines like The Line Of Best Fit, DIY Music and Passport Approved, added radio, KROQ, KCRW and SR P3 (biggest national radio station in Sweden), highlighted in Dagens Nyheter and Aftonbladets weekly best of list (our biggest daily newspapers) and appeared on countless Spotify lists.
Alongside the release of her debut EP Boys Koch-Emmery did her first international shows and played one of UK’s coolest festivals, Bestival, continued with more shows in the UK, the US, Mexico and Europe, supported Johnossi on their GSA tour in the winter 2017-2018.
Linn has not only already established herself with her euphoric rock that is capable of destruction, she was also recently acknowledged by Seymour Stein, the Sire label owner who signed Madonna and the Ramones as one of the best new artists right now.
